So Foma loaded all us pups into the car on Friday morning while it was still dark. The car was packed but we all found a space to snooze for the ride. We got to Gettysburg just in time for breakfast. Foma remember to food! Yay. We ate outside the car and then it was into this place called a hotel to meet some friends. There were lots of doors to choose from but we finally found the right one. Boy these rooms had the biggest dog beds ever.
Here we are just looking around.
These are our friends Janey and Lois Anne enjoying the big bed. I couldn't wait to try them out. After all it was time for my morning nap.
But there was no time for naps. We loaded up a van and went to walk around a battlefield. There was a guide who walked us around and talked about why all those stone people were sitting around. Me I just wanted to say hello to all the greyhounds and people. I've never seen so many in one place before. There was also grass and trees that needed sniffing too. I really can't recall anything the guide said. I may have been a wee bit distracted.
Must be time for a nap now, cus us pups are tired. Doesn't Foma know that we sleep all morning after breakfast. Guess she forgot because it was off to this building with so many tables and booths with stuff for sell. Oh and more greyhounds and people to meet. What a way to get ear scratches. All I had to do was walk up and say hello and everyone gave me pettins. I even found a few greyhounds that looked like me.
Then if all that window shopping wasn't enough, we headed off to a room to listen to people talk about greyhounds. This part wasn't so bad. At least we got to take a nap.
Finally at the end of a very long day, we found our hotel room. I was so happy. It had the big dog beds too. Foma told me to get off and sleep on the small beds on the floor but this one was so much nicer. See Dolly and I could share it. Besides, I was too tired to keep jumping on and off the big bed. So I went to sleep.
Come back to see how I spent the rest of my time at Greyhounds in Gettysburg.
